Thursday Table

Every Thursday. The open seat is yours if you want it.

The flagship rhythm of the platform. Same time every week, hosted by a different member or pair on rotation, open conversation with no agenda. It's the village version of the family dinner you might be missing — without the family politics.

How Thursday Table Works

Standing Time

Same hour every Thursday — pick the slot that matches your timezone. The point is predictability. You don't decide each week whether to come; you just come (or don't).

Rotating Hosts

Members take turns hosting. Hosts set a light theme or just open the floor. No prep required to attend; light prep to host.

The Open Seat

Always one seat reserved for someone new. New members get invited to Thursday Table first — the village showing up for the new person.

Audio-First

Voice over video. Less screen fatigue. Easier to drop in from a kitchen, a car, a walk. Cameras optional always.

No Recording

What happens at the Table stays at the Table. The platform doesn't log voice content. Norms enforce that members don't either.

The Honest Question

Each session has one optional prompt — pulled from the book's discussion guides, or operator-curated. Take it or leave it; the conversation goes where it goes.

What Thursday Table Came From

From The Grand Matriarchy Companion — the Dragon Den, a neighborhood bar where dragons with honestly different views meet on Tuesday nights and argue about family and connection. Thursday Table is the same idea, transposed: same rhythm, same posture, real humans, no dragons.
